Northwest Special Education Cooperative has the following
full-time positions starting Fall 2018:
School Social Worker  – placement in the Carroll County
region. Duties include providing outreach services to families
of student, completing social-development studies, and
participating on IEP teams for both initial and re-evaluations
for special education eligibility
Itinerant Teacher for the Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing  – placement
in the Stephenson/Northern Carroll county region. Duties
include providing direct services per the IEP process to those
students who have identified hearing loss, serving as a school
personnel consultant, and evaluating students who have been
referred for services
Special Education Teacher/Day Treatment Program  –
placement in self-contained program in Jo Daviess County.
Duties include providing instruction in a small classroom setting,
supervising paraprofessionals, creating lesson plans, utilizing
a variety of strategies to de-escalate behaviors, creating IEPs
and related paperwork with IEP teams, and working with a
supportive to implement IEPs and behavior plans. Must be able
to lift 50 pounds. Licensure must include ability to teach across
all grade levels.
For all positions, a valid Illinois Teaching Licenses with the
appropriate endorsements is needed. We offer a competitive
