Public Notice Notice of Public Hearing The County of Jo Daviess RE: State of Illinois Paratransit Vehicle Grant for Public Transportation Service in Jo Daviess County. Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by The County od Jo Daviess On: April 10, 2017 At: 6:45 P.M. Where: The Jo Daviess County Courthouse, 330 N. Bench Street, Galena, Illinois In: The County Board Room l. For the purpose of considering a project for which financial assistance is being sought from the Illinois Department of Transportation, pursuant to the Illinois Department of Transportation's general authority to make such Grants, and which is generally described as follows: A. Description of Project: To acquire two (2) 5 passenger Ramp equipped Mini Vans to replace two (2) 5 passenger Ramp equipped Mini Vans currently in service and four (4) Medium Duty 14 passenger Lift equipped vehicles to replace four (4) Medium Duty 14 passenger Lift equipped vehicles currently in service. The replacement vehicles will be used to provide General Public Demand Responsive Service in the County of Jo Daviess. The two (2) Mini Vans are budgeted at $41,000 each and the four (4) 14 passenger Medium Duty vehicles are budgeted at $63,000 each. The total budget of the proposed project will be $334,000. This project will be included in a Consolidated Vehicle Procurement Program undertaken by the State of Illinois on behalf of The County of Jo Daviess with State and Federal Funds. B. Relocation: Relocation Assistance will not be required. C. Environment: This project is being implemented to minimize environmental impact. D. Comprehensive Planning: This project is in conformance with comprehensive transportation planning in the area. E. Elderly and Disabled: All new equipment included in this project will meet ADA accessiblity rules for the elderly and persons with disabilities. II.
