FREEPORT-Highland Community College's Board of Trustees recently approved an agreement with Olivet Nazarene University School of Graduate and Continuing Education to offer a bachelor of science in nursing completion program on the HCC campus.

The cohort program will require a minimum of 12 students to begin, and classes will be held once a week in the evening. Highland officials are planning a signing ceremony with representatives from Olivet Nazarene University to be held in September.

"We are excited about this new partnership with Olivet Nazarene University," said Vice President of Academic Services Tim Hood. "It will serve to provide Highland nursing graduates and other area healthcare professionals another local pathway to completing a bachelor of science in nursing and, of course, Olivet Nazarene's reputation as a high quality educational institution is well-known."

This new program will be an additional option to the OSF Saint Anthony College of Nursing BSN completion program also in place at Highland. Persons interested in either program should contact Donna Kauke in the HCC Nursing and Allied Health Department at 815-599-3688 or .
