HANOVER-The River Ridge School Board approved the district's 2014 budget during the board's regular meeting Monday, Aug. 19.

Following a budget hearing prior to the board meeting, the board gave the stamp of approval to the 2014 budget of $7,732,481.

Superintendent Brad Albrecht has the district's estimated revenue for the year at $8,270,534, which also includes last year's transportation payment that came in this year.

The district has not yet determined what capital projects will be completed with the $140,700 in anticipated revenue from the sales tax fund. Expenses are also not known for fire, life, safety work that needs to be completed on the school facilities.
In other business, the board:

•hired Gail Pusateri as a paraprofessional for the 2013-14 school year.

•hired Scott Miller as a custodian.

•approved Brad Edler as an assistant football coach and Brian Wurster as middle school girls' basketball coach.

•met in closed session to discuss the superintendent's evaluation. No action resulted following closed session.

The next regular meeting of the River Ridge School Board will take place Monday, Sept. 16 at 7 p.m.
