SCALES MOUND-Possible changes to two board policies were among the discussion items at the Scales Mound School Board meeting, Jan. 22, including one change that would put restrictions on outside groups using school facilities.

According to Scales Mound Superintendent Steve Bianchetta, after discussion with their insurance agent, the board is looking into changes that could require anyone who wants to use the school's facilities to provide proof of liability insurance, learn the district's emergency procedures and agree to pay if district property is damaged during their use of the facility. No action has been taken at this time.
