These famous words grace the Statue of Liberty: “Give me your tired, your poor; your huddled masses yearning to breathe free. The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”
The citizens of Jo Daviess owe a great debt of gratitude to eight county residents who have dedicated six months of their lives to be of service to others, maybe for generations to come.
If there is a project which has caught the imagination of area citizens it must be the Galena ARC’s pursuit to purchase the Tri-State Christian School. This purchase will give the ARC the opportunity to provide more services to more people, thus enhancing the quality of life for those living here.
The facts are now crystal clear.
