GALENA–The future is looking bright for the Galena ARC, and ARC officials are hoping to capture some of those rays to lower electrical costs if the move to the Tri-State Christian School (TSCS) location becomes reality.
U.S. Bank recently donated $20,000 to the Galena ARC’s capital campaign. A group of ARC summer camp students were on hand to help accept the donation. GALENA–The United Churches of Galena held its annual Hunger Luncheon on Tuesday, July 17.
JO DAVIESS COUNTRY–Jo Daviess County is set to receive $2,869 to supplement emergency food and shelter programs.
Galena Chrysler is relocating from Galena Square Drive to a new facility on US 20 West in front of Walmart. Currently under construction, the new facility will open in March 2019, according to owner Rosean Schromen Wilson.
As a way to help the public to get a better idea of where the new Galena & U.S. Grant Museum will be located on the Stillman property off Bouthillier Street, Charles Marsden and Dan McCarthy recently moved the stakes to more accurately represent the four corners of the new facility. The museum will relocate from its present Bench Street location to the new site, perhaps as soon as 2021. Detailed planning for the new museum, including space utilization plans, architecture drawings, building models, building plans, construction, exhibit design, program strategies, relocation, and the fundraising campaign are moving forward.

This car show featured over 100 of the most beautiful vehicles from the bygone era (pre-1972) and offered food and music for visitors.
