Public Notice  Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to consider a request to vacate public property owned by the City of Galena.  A request has been filed by Louis Nack, Jr., 208 Lafayette Street, Galena, Illinois, to vacate approximately 0.10 acres of street right-of-way adjacent to his property.  The subject right of-way is contiguous to Lots 3 and 4 of Block 21 in the Original City of Galena, East Side of the Galena River, Jo Daviess County, Illinois.  The right-of-way proposed for vacation includes part of Third Street near the corner of Third Street and Lafayette Street.  A plan of the proposed vacation is available for inspection at City Hall in Galena or by calling City Hall at 815-777-1050.
