Galena School Board discusses budget
Galena's August School Board Meeting was business as usual Wednesday, Aug. 18. The first order of new business was the establishment of regular meeting dates and times. The main discussion considered the pros and cons of starting at 6 and 6:30 p.m. The trade off is a more convenient time for getting there after work at 6:30 p.m. and an earlier adjournment with 6 p.m. The board voted 6-0 to hold regular school board meetings on the third Wednesday of every month at 6 p.m. Board member Mike Campbell was not present for this vote.
