Academic Challenge is a competition hosted by Eastern Illinois University in which students from participating districts throughout Illinois take tests in the areas of English, Engineering Graphics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Computer Science. Ian Roddick, a Galena High School student, qualified to compete in the State Academic Challenge Competition which was held the first week of April 2022. Ian competed in the area of Computer Science, where he earned a fifth place finish.
