Karen Wilson is starting an embroidery circle this week in the lower level meeting room of the Galena Center for the Arts. The free sessions, 1-3 p.m., will be held each Wednesday and provide an opportunity to work on unfinished hand embroidery projects and to share tips on stitching techniques. Wilson, the center’s office manager, a student with the Royal School of Needlework in England, will share insights from her recent thread painting embroidery course at the inaugural July 11 session.
