Members of the tri-op cross country team from East Dubuque, Galena and River Ridge competed at regionals on Saturday at Winnebago. The girls placed seventh and the boys fifth making each eligible for sectional competition on Oct. 29 at Oregon. River Ridge students Avery Engle placed fifth and Arianna Pedrin eighth in individual competition. Tri-op cross-country competes at regionals
George Winter, 34, scored six touchdowns on Saturday, Oct. 22 in River Ridge’s 86-64 win over Orangeville. Winter rushed for 292 yards on 24 carries. Lebron Ransom rushed for 161 yards on eight carries with three touchdowns; and Seth Nicholas, 5-115 and one touchdown. Quarterback Seth Ries went 5-16 for 192 yards passing with two touchdowns.
