Permission denied: Second COVID-19 vaccination shot registration email sent too soon

Posted

GALENA–Jo Davies County residents anticipating their second COVID-19 vaccination shot received a special email early this week. The email contained the link for the vaccination appointment website along with a voucher number.

There was one problem. Recipients clicked on the link and came to a dead end, with this message on the computer screen: "Permission denied."

Sandra Schleicher, Jo Daviess County Health Department administrator, told the Gazette that the software company released the email too soon. The site wasn't ready for recipients to make appointments.

Schleicher expects the site to be live soon. A second email will be sent when the site is ready.
