GALENA– On Oct. 15, 2020, while on vacation with his wife and son, Wayne Robert Hughes, 78, Galena, passed away from complications of interstitial lung disease. He passed away outside of Rapid City, S.D., traveling to see his grandson and great-grandson in Montana.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 3 at Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena, where friends may call after 11 a.m. at the funeral chapel. Burial will be at a later date. Military honors will be accorded following the celebration of life by Galena VFW Post 2665 and American Legion Post 193.
