Country Fair grant applications now available

GALENA– Jo Daviess County Country Fair Charities, Inc.(JDCCFC) will be accepting applications for grants from not-for-profit organizations until May 1. JDCCFC is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to serve as a fundraising organization to facilitate and assist charitable causes throughout Jo Daviess County.

The organization’s goal is to provide financial assistance to those in need and is accomplished through the awarding of grants to non-profit organizations whose goal is to help other people in the county who express a need for financial assistance.

Since its inception, JDCCFC has awarded over $1 million in grants to local organizations. The money for the grants comes from the proceeds of the annual Galena Country Fair.

Grant applications are available at galenacountryfair.org, or by writing to Jo Daviess County Country Fair Charities, Inc., P.O. Box 6394, Galena, IL 61036. All applications must be postmarked by May 1. Grants will be awarded in June.
