GALENA–Lorraine L. Wand, 89, Galena, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at her home.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 8, 2021, graveside in the Elizabeth Township Cemetery, Elizabeth.

The Furlong Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.

MINERAL POINT, Wis.–Judith Ann Sutcliffe, 80, died March 3, 2021 after a long history with breast cancer came to a close. She passed away peacefully surrounded by loving friends at her home in Mineral Point.

No services are planned. A memorial celebration will be announced at a future date.

ATLANTA, Ga.–On Friday, Nov. 6, 2020, Mary Jo Malone passed away at age 71 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Galena. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Cremation rites have been accorded.

GALENA–Marilyn Elizabeth Muehleip, 91, Galena, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021, surrounded by her loving family at Galena Stauss Senior Care Community.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Galena. She will be buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Galena, beside her loving husband of 62 years, Kenneth “Paul” Muehleip. The Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena, is assisting the family.

GALENA–Tom Wienen, 69, passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of Feb. 26, 2021, after a two-and-a-half year battle with pancreatic cancer, a battle against a cruel and unfair opponent that gave days of hope and weeks of heartache. 

Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, a drive-through gathering for Tom will be held March 2 at the Furlong Funeral Chapel. A private funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, March 3 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Galena. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, rural Galena.

In place of flowers, any memorials given will be put toward a scholarship for a Galena High School senior interested in going to a trade school or starting a business.

STOCKTON–Norma Jean Hasken, 80, Stockton, passed away on Monday, Feb. 22, 2021, at FHN Hospital in Freeport.

A private family funeral service will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Stockton at a later date. The Rev. Michael Morrissey will officiate the services. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Apple River. Cremation rites have been accorded.

STOCKTON–Damien Grube, 34, Stockton, passed away Monday, Feb. 15, 2021, at home. He was born March 2, 1986 in Dubuque, Iowa to David and Peggy (Girot) Grube.

GALENA–Steven “Steve” R. Allendorf, 65, Galena, passed away suddenly at Midwest Medical Center in Galena on Friday, Feb. 12, 2021 after a long battle with juvenile diabetes and heart disease.

Due to COVID precautions, the family will be having a private visitation and private funeral mass at St. Mary’s, Galena, and burial, on Feb. 20 at 11 a.m. The service will be live-streamed for those who would like to join on The Miller Funeral Home Group Facebook page. Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, is handling funeral arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to any of several causes that were dear to Steve: Safe Haven Humane Society, the Illinois Sheriff’s Association, the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial Fund and the 100 Club of Jo Daviess County. A favorite quote of Steve’s that is inscribed on the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial: “In valor, there is hope.”

A visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 12, from 4-8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 North Main Street, Wheaton. A private funeral mass will be held on Saturday, Feb. 13.

DUBUQUE, Iowa–Herbert H. “Herb” Imbus, 79, of Dubuque, formerly of Menominee, passed away at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 5, 2021 at Unity Point Health-The Finley Hospital.

Mass of Christian burial will be 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10 with Fr. Peter Snieg officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The funeral Mass will be live-streamed on the Miller Funeral Home Group Facebook page. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Miller Funeral Home in East Dubuque, where there will be a prayer/reflection service at 6 p.m. There will also be a walk through visitation from noon to 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday at the church. Due to the COVID-19 virus, facemasks and social distancing will be enforced and no more than 50 people are allowed in the funeral home at one time.

In lieu of flowers, a Herbert H. Imbus Memorial Fund has been established.
